Continuing Education
Continuing education hours are awarded at the national level via CECBEMS for particular courses, or at the local- and State-levels via Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency for non-CECBEMS accredited courses. Credentials (certificates and/or cards) for specific nationally-recognized courses will be awarded by the particular organization (i.e., ITLS, PEPP, etc.) and valid for the standard period for that credential.
Courses must be paid for in advance (the sooner, the better... courses typically require student workbooks, manuals, or textbooks to be available to them prior to the course start date, and in some cases, a pretest is required as well). CEMSET accepts cashier's checks or money orders, as well as VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Qualified businesses and government agencies may be extended Net 30 terms and invoiced.
Cancellations/Refunds
- Canceled within seven (7) days or less from beginning of course: entire course fee is forfeited.
- Canceled within fourteen (14) days, but more than seven (7) days from beginning of course: one-half of course fee is forfeited.
- Canceled fifteen (15) days or more from beginning of course: entire course fee will be refunded.
Students must return, at their expense, any course workbooks, manuals, textbooks, and/or other materials provided to them in advance of the course to receive the refunds described above. If workbooks, manuals, textbooks, and/or other materials have been opened (i.e., plastic wrap is removed) or are otherwise not deemed to be in "new" condition, then the MSRP of the item(s) will be deducted from the refund (and the student should avoid returning such items). In most cases, students will likely use the items if they enroll in the same course at a later date, unless updated course materials have been released. Of course, if students do not cancel within seven (7) days of the course, then they are not subject to a refund, and it would be expected that they keep any materials provided to them in advance.
All workbooks, manuals, textbooks and other required materials are provided to students in brand-new condition generally 30 days prior to the course and are typically packaged in a plastic wrapper (though some books do NOT have plastic wrapping). If the wrapping has been removed, the book may not be returned (again, if it was plastic-wrapped), and the MSRP will be deducted from the refunded course fee as mentioned above.
