Specifically designed to address a key knowledge gap in Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Pharmacology, the American Heart Association's adult ECG & Pharmacology Course is a new program focused on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge. The course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers, or is also intended for ACLS students who need to improve after the ACLS pre-course self-assessment test. 6.0 continuing education (CE) hours will be awarded upon successful course completion.

American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode ACLS Part 2 and Part 3. Participants must provide a certificate of completion for HeartCode ACLS Part 1 (CD or online). Upon proof of completion of HeartCode ACLS Part 1, then Part 2 and Part 3 will be conducted, with successful students receiving an AHA ACLS Provider card that is valid for two (2) years. A MegaCode Skills Test MAY be required at the discretion of the instructor.

PEDIATRIC EDUCATION FOR THE PREHOSPITAL PROFESSIONAL (PEPP) - ALS COURSE
August 20-21 (Friday-Saturday)

Lectures include cardiovascular emergencies, child development: applying the triangle, child maltreatment, children with special healthcare needs, emergency delivery and newborn stabilization, medical emergencies, respiratory emergencies, sudden infant death syndrome and apparent life-threatening event (ALTE), and trauma. This is supplemented by scenarios and skills practice. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a course completion card from the American Academy of Pediatrics valid for two (2) years. 16 hours of EMS CE is available for this course and 16 hours of BRN CE for RNs is being awarded by Northern Inyo Hospital.
